Neuro Intervention Treatment

Ensuring best outcomes with highly specialised Neuro Intervention techniques.

Neuro Intervention Treatment Centre

Neuro Intervention employs catheter-based, minimally invasive techniques to treat certain blood vessel problems in the head, neck, and spine. At NHS Neuro Care, our neuro intervention specialists offer the best possible care to the patients, guiding them through the process and treatment.

Conditions treated through Neuro Intervention

  • Stroke : A stroke is a serious medical emergency that happens when the blood flow to a portion of your brain is halted or diminished, depriving the brain’s tissues of enough oxygen and nutrients. As a result, brain cells start to die within minutes. A stroke may leave behind lasting symptoms. Pneumonia or a lack of bladder control are examples of long-term consequences. Medication administered early can lessen brain damage. Other therapies concentrate on reducing side effects and preventing strokes in the future.
  • Brain Aneurysms : A weak or enlarged section of a blood artery in the brain is known as a brain aneurysm. For years, they may develop unnoticed. Sometimes an aneurysm’s artery walls might get so thin and frail that they rupture, letting blood flow into the areas around the brain.
  • Vascular Malformations : Any abnormal blood vessel connections in the brain, face, sinus region, or spine are referred to as vascular malformations of the head or neck.
  • Carotid Artery Disease : The primary arteries that carry blood to your brain, the carotid arteries, develop carotid artery disease when plaque accumulates inside them.
  • Cerebral Artery Stenosis : Cerebral artery stenosis is the medical term for an artery that has been clogged by illness or plaque inside the skull. Any artery in the body might become obstructed. Carotid artery stenosis, for instance, is a constriction of the neck’s main artery, which delivers oxygen-rich blood to the brain.
  • Transient Ischemic Attack : A stroke known as a transient ischemic attack (TIA) only lasts a short while. When a portion of the brain’s blood supply is momentarily cut off, it occurs. Similar to other stroke symptoms, TIA symptoms do not remain as long. Numbness or weakness, especially on one side of the body, are some of the acute symptoms.

What is included under Neuro Intervention Treatment?

In contrast to older techniques that required opening up the entire skull or exposing the spinal column, neuro intervention simply requires a minor skin scratch. A catheter is placed by a skin prick and then transported to the affected regions of the brain and spine by blood arteries. The proper therapy is administered endovascularly in the Cath lab. Neuro Intervention patients heal more quickly than neurosurgery patients. Compared to conventional open surgery, it has fewer problems and causes no discomfort.
